2022 Fall Sessions Available

I am so excited for the fall season. I can't wait to see all of your smiling faces. See below to review the different dates available for Pickle Book Designs 2022 Fall Season.

Please make note of the different dates, times and locations for each sign up. The sessions range from 15-30 minutes. If you want short and sweet and just want some great ones for the holiday card, go for the 15 minute sessions. If you want a longer session where we can explore and get a variety of shots, go for the 30 minute session.

October 22, 2022, Saturday (Afternoon) - Deer Grove Forest Preserve, 15 Minutes

15 Minute Session, October 22nd – Deer Grove Forest Preserve

The session will take place at Deer Grove Forest Preserve. Tucked away in a "secret spot" is a little bridge that I love taking pictures on. The way the trees cover the opening to the bridge and the way the light hits in the afternoon and evening makes for some gorgeous photos. There is also a little waterfall below the bridge with a nice ledge for sitting. If there is time, we an take pictures on both the bridge area and the waterfall area.

This session is perfect for clients looking to update their fall photos for the home or maybe the holiday card. We can get a lot of photos done in 15 minutes so be prepared for a lot of smiles and a lot of fun activities to get your family laughing.

October 23, 2022, Sunday (Morning) - Lake Avenue Woods, 15 Minutes

The session will take place at Lake Avenue Woods Forest Preserve in Northbrook (just the edge of Mt. Prospect). This spot has both a beautiful field with tall grasses and tree lined wooded area. Pending the type of session you were hoping for, we can take pictures in just one setting or split the session between the open field area and the wooded area. If you want fall colors, this is a great spot!

October 24, 2022, Monday (Afternoon) - Vehe Barn - 30 Minutes

30 Minute Session – Vehe Barn Deer Park

The session will take place at Vehe Barn in Deer Park. Vehe is a wonderful spot for photos. There are two wooden brown barns, a tree lined wooded area, an adorable picket fence garden that will likely have a few mums growing and end of summer flowers, and an open field with rustic grasses.

This session is perfect for clients that want a little longer session. We can explore Vehe barn and take pictures in a variety of spots.

November 5th, Saturday (afternoon) - Pine Tree Forest Mini Session, 30 Minute

Do you love the great outdoors? If so, this is the session for you. Rows and rows and rows of gorgeous pine trees, tall grasses, and gorgeous light. This location is one of my absolute favorite locations. We will take pictures in the wooded area with the lined pine trees and in the open field with the tall grasses. Plus, these sessions are great for both fall and holiday photos. The look and feel of the photos will greatly depend on your choice of outfits.

Note: The location is in Crystal Lake and is about a 40-minute drive from Arlington Heights. Please keep this in mind when booking. The drive is worth it and there are plenty of cool things to do in the area before or after your session. Below are a few ideas:

Go for a hike. The wooded area is breathtaking and there are a ton of trails. The height of the trees and the number of pines will take you to a peaceful place. You and your family will enjoy your outdoor adventure.
Go to the park. Veteran Acres Park is huge. There is the wooded area where will be taking pictures but there is also a recreation area that includes several playgrounds and an adorable pond for a nice evening stroll. I can provide instructions for those interested.
Crystal Lake Brewing: After getting everyone dressed and making it on time for your shoot, you deserve a tasty microbrew. Check out their site. They often have a rotation of food trucks in their parking lot. http://www.crystallakebrew.com/TapRoom/
Stop in Barrington on the way home and try a new place for dinner.
